PRESSURE RELIEF PANEL SYSTEMS (EXPLOSION WALLS) - DENVER, COLORADO 

Pressure Relief or Explosion wall systems are designed to disengage from the structure in the event of an explosion.  This action helps reduce the impact of explosion by relieving internal pressure, therefore reducing the risk of catastrophic building collapse and further loss of life.  Explosion walls are common in pharmaceutical plants, military installations, and any other building where the manufacture or handling of volatile compounds takes place.  

We can design a system that fits your needs by using insulated or corrugated metal panels specially designed to pop off the structure at a given force.  Specially designed clips and fasteners are used to hold the building together under normal loading conditions (wind, snow, HVAC) and let go in the event of a large explosion.  Cable ties retain the wall system to prevent flying debris from causing more damage or injury.  Every explosion wall is different and highly customized to exacting conditions.   Please inquire early on in the design phase of any pressure relief wall system.
